Post Recovery Procedures
Following the procedure, our healthcare team
will observe you in our comfortable recovery
room. We will want you to rest and recover from
the sedation and the procedure. Our team will
monitor your vital signs and bleeding for at
least 30 minutes until your discharge. We will
not discharge a patient until her condition is
stable and she feels well enough to go home. We
will also not allow a sedated patient to leave
without a safe ride home.
We will provide you with antibiotics to take to
help prevent post- operative infection. We will
also provide you with birth control pills to
start the next Sunday. Because of the
antibiotics, this first pack of birth control
pills will not protect you from pregnancy, but
will assist your body in getting into a normal
“cycle” following the procedure.
We will provide you with a prescription for
medication used for heavy vaginal bleeding so
you will be prepared in case you experience
heavier than usual bleeding. Also, we will
provide you with a prescription for pain
medication in the event you experience pain
after you leave our healthcare center.
