Delivery at Methodist Women’s Hospital

We deliver our babies at the premier hospital for San Antonio women, Methodist Women’s Hospital in the heart of our city’s Medical Center.

Both your and your new baby’s health is our utmost concern. Methodist Women’s Hospital has a neonatal intensive care unit and doctors and nurses who specialize in high-risk, newborn care – just in case any problems develop after the birth of your baby.

We will provide you with instructions to help pre-register with Methodist Women’s Hospital well before you go into labor, usually when you are 32 weeks pregnant. Please ask us for a copy of the Methodist Women’s Hospital pre-registration booklet. We have them at our facility for your convenience.

Please plan to go to the Labor and Delivery floor of Methodist Women’s Hospital when:

  • You’re at the onset of labor, and your contractions are 5 minutes apart.
  • Your membranes rupture (your water bag breaks).
  • You experience bleeding.

Please go to Labor and Delivery floor. Please DO NOT GO TO THE EMERGENCY ROOM.

During business hours, if you have any doubts about going to the hospital, call your nurse from A Woman’s Choice. After business hours, you may contact our Physician on call or report to the Labor and Delivery floor at Methodist Women’s Hospital.
